A screen-and-prevent strategy for preterm preeclampsia (PE), which involves screening in the first trimester and low-dose aspirin prophylaxis for high-risk women in <16–36 weeks of gestation, will be launched in obstetric units of public hospitals across Hong Kong following promising results from a multicentre Asian trial led by the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and a pilot programme at the Prince of Wales Hospital (PWH).

Hệ thống bơm insulin tự động (AID) cho thấy giúp cải thiện các kết cục lâm sàng ở bệnh nhân đái tháo đường (ĐTĐ) típ 2 qua nghiên cứu then chốt SECURE-T2D, với những cải thiện đáng kể về HbA1c, tổng liều insulin hàng ngày, và stress do ĐTĐ, mà không làm tăng nguy cơ hạ đường huyết.
Theo báo cáo của BS. Francisco Pasquel, Đại học Emory, Atlanta, Georgia, Hoa Kỳ, trong đoàn hệ gồm 305 bệnh nhân ĐTĐ típ 2 trưởng thành (trung bình 57 tuổi, 57% là nữ, 24% là người da đen, trung bình BMI 35 kg/m2), việc sử dụng hệ thống AID Omnipod 5 trong 13 tuần giúp giảm 0,8% HbA1c - tiêu chí chính của nghiên cứu, từ 8,2% ở thời điểm ban đầu xuống 7,4% ở tuần thứ 13 (p<0,001). Abemaciclib plus NSAI improves survival in advanced breast cancer
Combination treatment with abemaciclib and a nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitor (NSAI) as initial therapy, compared with NSAI alone, helps extend survival in women with hormone receptor-positive (HR+), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HER2−) advanced breast cancer, results of the MONARCH 3 study have shown.
