Differential Diagnosis
Though gastrointestinal stromal tumor is the most common gastrointestinal mesenchymal tumor, it should be differentiated from non-epithelial neoplasms, leiomyoma, leiomyosarcoma, schwannomas, and other malignancies of the gastrointestinal tract.
